Coltri Activated Carbon - Filtration of Oil Vapors and Organic Impurities

The Coltri activated carbon removes oil vapors and organic impurities while eliminating oil odors in compressed air. Compatible with all final filtration cartridges for high-pressure compressors (Coltri, Compair, Bauer, Lenhardt & Wagner, Nardi, Cirrus, etc.).

Packaging

Sealable, airtight canister of 1 liter. Other packaging sizes not available (5L, 10L, etc.).

Number of Recharges Possible with 1L Canister

• MAXIFILTRE Cartridges (MCH8, MCH11, MCH13, MCH16, MCH18, MCH26, MCH32): approximately 6 recharges
• HYPERFILTRE Cartridges (MCH30, MCH36, MARK I, MARK II, Tropical): 2 recharges

Replacement Frequency

The replacement frequency depends on several factors: compressor filter size, humidity level, purge frequency, and especially the temperature at the inlet of the filtration cartridge.

Important: The temperature to consider is the one at the cartridge inlet, not the compressor or room inlet temperature. High-pressure compression generates high temperatures (over 120°C at each compression stage). A well-ventilated room helps cool the air, thereby reducing the temperature at the cartridge inlet.

Warning

Activated carbon does not store well over time (approximately 1 year after opening). Therefore, it is not recommended to order in large quantities (5L, etc.) unless the compressor is used for over 600 hours annually in dive centers.

For a 16 m³/h compressor, 1 liter of activated carbon provides approximately 320 hours of use per year at a filter inlet temperature of 20°C.
