Molecular Sieve Coltri

The molecular sieve absorbs moisture present in compressed air in the form of water vapor and partially retains CO2 molecules produced by gasoline engine compressors.

It is compatible with all types of final filtration cartridges for high-pressure compressors (Coltri, Compair, Bauer, Lenhardt & Wagner, Nardi, Cirrus, ...).

Number of refills possible with a 1L canister*

*For Coltri cartridges. Follow the proportions: 1/4 activated carbon - 3/4 molecular sieve.

• MAXIFILTER cartridges (MCH8, MCH11, MCH13, MCH16, MCH18, MCH26, MCH32): 3-4 refills
• HYPERFILTER cartridges (MCH30, MCH36, MARK 1, MARK II, Tropical): 1 refill

Replacement Frequency

The replacement frequency depends on several factors: compressor filter size, humidity level, purge frequency, and especially cartridge inlet temperature.

Contrary to popular belief, the temperature to consider is that at the cartridge inlet, not at the compressor inlet or the room. A well-ventilated room will ensure better performance.

Refer to the cartridge data sheets to determine the autonomy based on the operating temperature.

Warning

The molecular sieve does not store well after opening (3 to 6 months in its original canister). It is not recommended to purchase in large quantities (5L or more) unless for centers or clubs using their compressor for more than 300 hours per year.

For a 16m³/h compressor, 1 liter of molecular sieve provides approximately 160 hours of use at an average temperature of 20°C.
